- Wondering what to do with your used bridal gown or formal dress that’s taking up space in your attic or closet?
- Thinking about donating your wedding gown, bridesmaid dress or other type of formal gown?
Lace for Love Brings New Life to Used Wedding and Formal Gowns… to Help Feed Hungry Families in New Jersey
Founded in 2020 by Paula Cerdas, Marta Brulinski, and Ashley Jensen, Lace for Love is currently accepting gently used wedding and formal dress donations. Profits from their dress sales are donated to an organization called Table to Table which delivers perishable and prepared foods to hungry families in northern New Jersey.
Lace for Love has also set a long-term goal to raise the $45,000 needed to open a secondhand bridal shop. They currently await approval to be registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
For each dollar donated, Table to Table can provide up to 10 meals. That means each dress purchased from Lace for Love could feed a family of 5 for months.
Co-founder Paula Cerdas explains, “The dresses provide brides with a thoughtful, budget friendly, timely, inclusive, eco-friendly option for purchasing their dream dress. The profits from these sales also help feed hungry families around New Jersey!”
In addition to accepting gently used wedding dresses of 10 years or less, Lace for Love also accepts donations of the following:
- Wedding gowns
- Bridesmaid dresses
- Mother of the Bride dresses
- Formal gowns
- Bridal and formal accessories such as shoes, veils, purses, scarves and shawls
Ready to donate your used wedding gown or formal dress to support this worthy cause? If your dress is less than 10 years old, Lace for Love will graciously accept your kind donation.
