Did your child receive Early Intervention services to catch up with developmental delays?
If so, then you may know the feeling of being a grateful mom or dad who has had caring and capable physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or speech therapy professionals provide services right in the comfort of your own home.
Early Intervention is offered at no cost to the recipient, providing needed therapy for young children at a critical time of development.
Parents of adults with developmental disabilities also know the importance of having qualified, caring professionals working to uphold quality of life for family members in need.
The Arc of Warren County Community Living Arrangements programs provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week to adult residents who live independently in our community.
Many people remain unaware that this type of support exists in Warren County, NJ. Now they will get to hear firsthand about the incredible work performed by this organization via the Radiothon Fundraiser hosted by WRNJ Radio on June 17, 2020.
The Arc of Warren County is dedicated to serving families of our community throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020. In continuing to meet the needs of their clients through this challenging time, they have adapted their format and are currently offering their Early Intervention services virtually.
The services they provide to adult community members are considered essential services and have been modified to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their clients at this difficult time.
As many parents know, the stay-at-home order has made it increasingly difficult to work with kids on gross motor, fine motor, speech and occupational skills in this restrictive environment.
Many of us are struggling to balance parenting with work related responsibilities. The pressure is on to help kids grow and develop by providing stimulating, enriching activities.
Not only is this important for developing needed life skills, but in offering such opportunities, we help our children grow into mentally healthy, well adjusted adults.
In fact, as a concerned mom myself, I know firsthand that the worries that we face can be overwhelming at times.
In addition to their Early Intervention services, the Arc of Warren County continues to serve the community by working with adult clients who have developmental challenges. Their dedicated, kind and caring employees have helped to enhance the quality of life for many.
On June 17, 2020, WRNJ radio will host their annual Radiothon fundraiser initiative for the Arc of Warren County. The entire day will be devoted to sharing stories about the impact of The Arc of Warren County’s work with individuals who have developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Listeners will hear accounts from families, consumers, community leaders and employees to get a deeper understanding of the important work performed by this organization.
How Can You Help?
