Giving Theme Lives on for Day of the Dead, Hometown Halloween 2024 in Washington, Warren County NJ

Those who live to give can make a difference at this year’s fun and festive Halloween themed community events held in Washington Borough, Warren County NJ.

Executive Director of the Washington BID, Melanie Thiel has announced there will be two donation boxes set up at the Hometown Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos celebrations scheduled for late October 2024 in Washington, NJ.

Day of the Dead Celebration returns for another year of evening revelry on October 24, 2024! This is a free event!

Location: Veteran’s Park, 44 East Washington St., Downtown Washington Borough, NJ
DATE: Thursday, October 24, 2024
TIME: 5 to 8pm

Highlights to include:

  • Traditional Mariachi Band
  • Sugar skull face painting
  • Food and gift vendors
  • Sending a message to your deceased loved ones in the fire pit

Hometown Halloween Washington NJ Warren County 2024

Location: Downtown Washington Borough, Warren County NJ

DATE: Saturday, October 26, 2024
TIME: 11am to 9pm

Hometown Halloween Itinerary:

11am until 3pm (or until pumpkins run out):  Family pumpkin carving at Pumpkin Park. Pumpkins carved at the park will be judged and a prize awarded! (Veterans Park) – YES you may bring your own pumpkin

3pm – 5pm: Trick or Treating at the downtown businesses. DJ Mitch Hess will be playing spooky tunes.

4:30pm: Costume parade and and costume contests.

5pm to 9pm: Veteran’s Park becomes PUMPKIN PARK …bring the family down to check out all the pumpkins and other Halloween displays.

6pm-8pm: M Poetry, Spooky Edition at M Galleries features open mic spooky

7:30pm: Tales of the Boro…. spooky ghost stories from Washington Boro. Come hear about who still haunts the Boro.

9pm: Families can pick up their carved pumpkins to take home.

About Toys for Tots

For over seven decades, Toys for Tots has been a United States Marines run non-profit foundation having delivered hope and the magic of Christmas to millions of less fortunate children.

The US Marines drive their train from town to town in our area every holiday season and will be stopping at the tracks on Broad Street again this year
