Tip 1: Find a way to fit in exercise on vacation!
For me it’s three years going strong of being THAT person. You know, those crazy people who exercise when on vacation!
No matter how fast or how slow, I get out there and run. Every. Single. Day. I decided that I come first! Get out there and do something for YOU.
Tip 2: Choose a favorite healthy drink that isn’t soda or fruit juice.
Choose water whenever possible. Dress up water drinks by adding ice cubes, a few pieces of fresh fruit and some mint sprigs.
Look for electrolyte drinks but watch the sodium content. Choose zero sugar whatever possible, including avoiding fruit juices, which most people do not know have high amounts of sugar.
Tip 3: Avoid diet drinks sweetened with aspartame!
Studies have shown there is a cancer risk associated.
Tip 4: Develop a healthy relationship with food.
I work with clients to overcome food obsession, make healthier choices, learn how to eat in moderation and advance prep nutritious meals and snacks that are on plan with my program.

Tip 5: Find healthy workarounds to treat yourself every once in a while.
I absolutely love a great frozen coffee drink but I don’t love the added sugars and empty calories. So I made my own!
Jen’s Homemade Frozen Coffee Recipe:
- 8 oz cold brew coffee black
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 serving of my program’s coffee soft serve
