What are you going to have for lunch? It’s about the time, as I write this.
Here’s a good guide if you plan to make your own lunch.
Make a salad first. Doesn’t have to be big. Use whatever you have in the crisper that’s fresh. Toss with oil and vinegar. Sprinkle on some salt. Add your favorite pickled accents. Maybe a bit of good cheese.
Get some healthy bread. Doesn’t have to be a special diet brand. Some or all whole grain is great. If you’re low carb, a wrap could meet your needs.
Find a protein source. Lean meat is good. Every once in awhile you can do roast beef, like we did today.
Add a condiment. I made spicy mayo with Hellman’s and Frank’s Red Hot. Not too healthy but yesterday I had hummus and yogurt so there you go.
Put it on a fancy plate if you have one. Meals are always a reason to celebrate.
