On Giving Tuesday, Facebook spills over with the generosity theme. For someone who’s simply looking for guidance in what to give and who to help, this can be overwhelming.
“Giving Tuesday” is a single named day, but you’ll find plenty of ways to give back and make a difference for the entire holiday season.
What types of giving-themed events and programs are happening this year?
Here are my Giving Tuesday picks based on what’s showing up in my feed in 2023.
Giving feels good. Consider if any of these are a match for you.

Donate toys directly to the Operation Toy Train event on Saturday, December 2nd at 1pm, where all the toys will be loaded on the train to be delivered by train to Toys for Tots!
About Toys for Tots
For over seven decades, Toys for Tots has been a United States Marines run non-profit foundation having delivered hope and the magic of Christmas to millions of less fortunate children.
The US Marines drive their train from town to town in our area every holiday season for Operation Toy Train and will be stopping at the tracks on Broad Street again this year with Santa and Mrs. Claus!
Let’s all work together to fill the boxes around town so our community can fill an entire train car!
